Devonté Jamar Johnson, passed away on April 3, 2026, at the age of 23.

Born in Coral Springs, Florida, Dovonté brought a unique light into the lives of everyone who knew him.

​Dovonté had a vibrant soul who lived with purpose and kindness. He was a young man of many passions. Whether he was on the court playing basketball, working with his hands to fix cars, or expressing himself through dance, he did everything with energy and heart. He was most well known for his vibrant and contagious smile that could light up any room and lift the spirits of everyone around him.

His journey was shared and brightened by his devoted soulmate, Emma Noyes, whose love and partnership were a source of great happiness.

​He was the cherished son of Arminthe Pyronneau and André Johnson. His life was further enriched by the love of his bonus dad, Joe Keegan, and his bonus moms, Jenn DiTrapano, and Shelley Fain.

He was the beloved grandson of Felicita Egdivers, and paternal grandparents, Gail and Alvin Johnson. Devonté was preceded in death by his grandmother, Yvonne Johnson, and his grandfather, Hugo Pyronneau.

​A loving brother, Dovonté’s legacy of friendship and family continues through his many siblings: André Omar Johnson Jr., Jada Leah Johnson, Riana Lopez, Faith Ayana Pyronneau, Alfonzo Darby, Allá Johnson, Ada Johnson, and Kya Johnson. He also leaves behind a close-knit group of cousins, and countless cherished friends.

​Dovonté will be fondly remembered by his aunts, who played a significant role in his life: Napheline Pyronneau, Sherlyne Pyronneau, Margalie Pyronneau, Newsang Riviara (affectionately known as Aunt Pebbles), and Ianna Ahyoung. He also shared a special bond with his uncles, Jermaine Johnson, Jake Egdivers, and Michael Semoin, who were a steady presence in his life.

​Dovonté was characterized by his generous spirit and the deep bonds he shared with his relatives across the world. Above all else, he found his greatest joy in helping others, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

His presence and that unforgettable smile will be profoundly missed, but his memory will be carried in the hearts of the many family and friends he so selflessly served.

A funeral service will take place at a later date in Florida.
