BLUFF DALE (September 3, 2017) – Every year the Bluff Dale residents (past and present) hold their annual reunion on the Sunday before Labor Day and this was the 67th consecutive year.
The event, which drew folks from near and far, is held at the Bluff Dale Tabernacle which was constructed in 1906. Over 100 years later the structure is still functional and being put to use. The family that traveled the farthest was the Greene family: Steve, Wendy, Margie and Elizabeth. They traveled all the way from Seattle, Washington. The oldest in attendance was Mary Richardson at 92 years young.
Entertainment was provided by Jimmy Walker as he sang and played guitar for the crowd. Catering was provided by Hard Eight. One of the key event organizers was Cathey Hartmann and you can contact her at cat3542@yahoo.com to learn about how you can become involved and participate in the planning of next year’s event.
