This year’s goal was to raise $1,500 and the school kids raised $1,613.68 for the Erath County United Way. As a reward, the children were treated to a SLIME event in the school auditorium. Mrs. Rhine, Mrs. Rudd, and Coach Kelsey were all “slimed”, covered in confetti, and then had a pie shoved in their face. Things got a little messy but the kids sure did enjoy it. The winning “house” was the Amistad House. Great job, everyone.
“Big thanks to Hook Elementary staff and students!!! Each year they are committed to making a difference in our community by supporting Erath County United Way! This year they participated in a Slime Challenge and really did outstanding. Thank you Hook staff, students and families for your support! We appreciate you” said Lisa Scroggins, Executive Director for Erath County United Way.
