Eddie Ross Wood, born August 13, 1939, in Morgan Mill, Texas to parents Edward and Virgie (Garner) Wood, passed away in Hico, Texas on June 11, 2023, at age 83. Eddie graduated from Trimble Tech and was a product fulfillment specialist at Montgomery Wards. Eddie was known as “Uncle Eddie” to family and friends, enjoyed playing dominoes, eating at a good local restaurant. Eddie loved the fellowship with his family and friends, was a big Texas Rangers baseball fan. Eddie took great joy with the Bus Ministry at Fairy Baptist Church and was very supportive husband of his wife’s cattle business.
Eddie is preceded by his parents, brother Joe Bryan Wood, and Brother-in-law, Truitt New and wife Christine.
Surviving Eddie are wife of 61 years Anita New Wood, siblings Gail Turney and husband Charles, Kirbby Wood and wife Charlotte, brother-in-law, Leon New and wife Shirley, several nieces and nephews and a host of church family members and friends.
Visitation 10am until services at 11am, June 16, 2023, at Harvest Hills Funeral Home, Hico, Texas with Pastor Bob Ray officiating, followed by 2pm graveside services, at Morgan Mill Cemetery.
