James “Calvin” Berna, born November 11, 1960 in Hico, Texas to parents Elam and Anna (Luckie) Berna, passed away in Mineral Wells, Texas January 13, 2024. James was known as “Calvin” to his friends and was known as “Bubba” to his family. Calvin loved the Texas Rangers baseball team, golf and family gatherings. He was a graduate of Hico High School and retired from Saint Gobain.
Preceding Calvin in death were his parents and wife Sylvia Berna.
Surviving Calvin are sisters, Penny Lively and husband Ricky, Audra McFadden and husband Michael, nephew; Andrew Lively and spouse Sterling Lively, niece Payton McFadden and friend John Hill, great nephew; Dylan Lively, great niece; Lynn Lively.
Visitation 6-8pm, Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Harvest Hills Funeral Home. Services 11am, Wednesday, January 16, 2024 at Harvest Hills Funeral Home, with burial following at Hico Cemetery.
