(July 14, 1940 – August 1, 2025)
Jerry Edward Evans, Sr., born July 14, 1940, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Friday August 1, 2025, following a brief illness. Esther Evans, his wife of almost sixty-four years, she was by his side as she had been steadfast for all those years. Jerry was the proud father of three sons with Esther; J.D, Troy and Chris, eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. Jerry is also survived by four siblings as well as all those who considered him a father figure.
He was a Christian and had been true in his faith since 1963 when he was saved through Christ Jesus. His ability to lead by example was understood by all those who knew him. Jerry was a Marine, a postman, an insurance agent and a Pinkerton guard over more than sixty years of hard work. Most of all he was a husband, father, grandfather, uncle and mentor to dozens of families and friends. It is with deep regret that we see him go but with no sorrow that we know he now has no pain or duty other than to rest in the arms of his Lord.
