Andrew proudly served in the United States Air Force, and fought in Vietnam, earning the respect and gratitude of his country. After his military service, he dedicated his career to helping others through education, working as a financial aid officer at Sacramento City College, then as a director at TSCTC, and later at South Texas Vo-Tech after moving to Texas. His work opened doors for countless students and changed lives.
He later joined the U.S. Postal Service in Daly City, California, where he worked for many years before retiring. In retirement, Andrew moved to Texas to be closer to his family, because family was everything to him.

His journey reflects the words of 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV): Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
