Ronnie Ray Nachtigall Sr., of Duffau, Texas, October 5, 1945 -December 30, 2025. Son of Christian Charles and Winnie Nell Nachtigall. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967.
He was a devoted husband to Judy Nachtigall for 45 years.
Ronnie enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also loved watching Westerns, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Rangers.
Ronnie is survived by his eight children, Ray Nachtigall and wife Jennifer, James Priddy, Joe Priddy, Paula Nachtigall Landry and husband Darren, Donella Long and husband Larry, Stephen Nachtigall and wife Candace, Bobby Priddy, Sally Tutor and husband Wesley. Ronnie is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren: one sister, Joanne Rainwater.
He was preceded in death by his wife Judy, parents, and four siblings. Mary (Sister) Engler, Max Nachtigall, Helen McLean, and Chris Nachtigall Jr.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Candace Nachtigall and the staff at Mabank Nursing Center for their kindness, compassion, and excellent care.
Visitation 10:00am -12:00pm., January 3, 2025, with Chapel Services at 12:00pm at Harvest Hills Funeral Home, Hico, Texas, with Calvin Warpula officiating. Burial to follow at Duffau Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children at Loveshriners.org in Ronnie’s name.
