(December 23, 1957 — February 3, 2026)
With hearts full of sorrow yet grateful for God’s grace, we share the news of our beloved mother’s passing. She was a kind, patient, and loving child of God, whose faith guided every step. A true servant, she reflected Christ’s compassion in daily life—always caring for others, even through years of health struggles. Her unwavering trust in the Lord was evident in her words and deeds, inspiring all who knew her to walk by faith.
She leaves behind her devoted spouse James Dodge, three children: Courtney C Adam Clayton, Desiree C Vance Lawing and Justin Dodge. Three grandchildren: Emery, Kolbe C Karade, four great grandchildren: Nash, Brealee, Kolter and Presley. Two nieces: Jennifer and Stacie, and a multitude of friends and family whose lives were blessed by her presence. Her legacy of love and faithful service continues in all who were touched by her gentle spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents David “Dub” and Thelma Jernigan and brother David Jernigan, now reunited in God’s eternal embrace.
We honor her steadfast faith, her nurturing heart, and her enduring strength in the Lord. Though we mourn, we rejoice that she has gone home to her Heavenly Father, where suffering is no more, and everlasting peace awaits.
Her memory will live on in our hearts, until we meet again in God’s promised kingdom.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, at the Stephenville Funeral Home.
