Sherry Gail Trogdon of Stephenville, Texas, passed from this life on May 4, 2026, at her home with her loving husband by her side. Born on November 27, 1967, in Guymon, Oklahoma, Sherry touched the lives of many with her vibrant spirit, her loyalty, and her generous heart.
Sherry was well known for her love of riding their Harley, embracing the open road with a fun-loving and adventurous soul. She also enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and other old westerns. Her dedication and commitment were evident in her 14 years of service at Jake and Dorothy’s, where she spent countless hours helping others and making a positive difference in her community.
Her life was marked by a deep sense of kindness and unwavering loyalty to those she loved. Sherry’s presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished by family and friends alike.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents and her late husband, David Mericle. Sherry is lovingly survived by her husband, Steve Trogdon, who stood faithfully by her side. She also leaves behind her children: Audrey Gallegos, Lindsey Merriman, Ashley Cooper, Desarae Johnson, and Justin Wheeler, each carrying forward a part of her spirit and legacy.
A visitation to honor Sherry’s life will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, beginning at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Dublin. This will be followed by a service at 2:00 pm and will conclude with interment at the Barbee Cemetery.
Sherry Gail Trogdon’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and the joy found in both adventure and heartfelt service. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with respect and affection.
