It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Cynthia (Taylor) Craig on May 20, 2026.

Cynthia was born in Woodstock, IL on July 29, 1947 to Merrill Taylor and Ethelyn Lemmerhirt. She met her husband Donald Craig while attending East Texas State University in Commerce TX. They were married on June 24, 1967 in her hometown of Woodstock and were married over 50 years before Donalds passing in 2022.

Cynthia earned her Bachelors Degree with a double major in French and English along with her Teaching Certificate. 

Cynthia loved to read, she loved to Travel, especially when her family came along. She enjoyed seeing all the different places this world has to offer. Cynthia had a strong passion for volunteering on the military bases with family services and again at the Library in Clyde, TX.

Cynthia is survived by her children, Stephanie Lewis of Ft. Worth, and Melissa Blackwell and husband Johnny of Stephenville. Her grandchildren Caitlyn Whitehead and husband Dylan, Samantha Padgham and husband Chance, and Hunter Lewis. 3 great grandchildren, Jett, Wylie, and Dawson Whitehead She is also survived by her siblings Tim Taylor and Sally Isenberg and husband Jay.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband.

Cynthia will be missed by all who knew and loved her dearly. Her memorial service will be held at a later date.
