Larry Max Volf passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on August 15, 1950, in Superior, Nebraska, to Ernest Joseph and Evelyn L. (Christiancy) Volf.

Larry grew up in Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska, where he was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. During his younger years, he worked alongside his father as an ironworker, learning the value of hard work and craftsmanship. After graduating from college, he farmed in Nebraska before eventually making Arizona his home, where he built a successful career as a home builder. Larry took immense pride in the quality of his work and the craftsmanship he brought to every project. Whether building a home, repairing something that was broken, or tackling a new project, he found purpose in creating things that would last.

Larry was a Mason. He loved being outdoors and embraced the Arizona lifestyle. Whether he was hunting, riding horses, working out, or simply enjoying the warmth of the Arizona sun from his backyard pool, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Larry is survived by his children, Travis Volf, Gabe Volf, and Sydni Baxter (Stephen); his beloved grandchildren, Jaxson Baxter, Ryder Volf, Reed Volf, and Addison Baxter; and his former wife, Vonni Volf, the mother of his children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Joseph and Evelyn L. Volf.

Larry will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, and the deep love he had for his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2026, at 10:00 A.M,  at Pilot Knob Cemetery.
