Retha Elizabeth Ward, 82, of Stephenville passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Graveside services for Retha will be at 10:00 AM Friday, November 6, 2026, at Old Dublin Memorial Park Cemetery, in Dublin, with Scott Fletcher, officiating.
Retha was born on September 29, 1944, in Stone Coal, Virginia, to the late Hufford and Lydia Ruth Ward. She worked for Walmart in the bakery department for over 15 years. Retha like to bake, especially birthday cakes for her family. She loved painting, quilting, and reading her bible. Most of all she loved her family, fiercely. Retha has lived most of her life in Stephenville.
Retha is survived by her sons, Guy Mullins, Ronald Owen and wife Bessie, and Mark Parnell; daughters, Ronda Owens and Angel Herr and husband Paul; grandchildren, Athena Dowell and husband Kris, Jessica Tanner and husband Chris, Elizabeth Gardner and husband Logan, Brandi Bowman, Amanda Herr, Rufus Mullins, Necole Rue and husband Justin, Dillon Parnell, Kajun Owens and wife Leah, Felicity Roland, Lyfe Dukes-Parnell, Christina Keen, and Matthew Mullins; eleven great grandchildren, sisters, Alma Cline and Myrville Lester.
Besides her parents, Retha was also preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Owens, her brothers Skeets Ward and Kyle Ward, and sisters Phyllis Bal and Loeann Keaton.
The Ward family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Foster Home for Children in Stephenville.
