STEPHENVILLE (February 8, 2016) – On Tuesday, October 18, the 22 Annual Choices Fundraising Banquet will host Gretchen Carlson as the keynote speaker.
Carlson is one of the nation’s most successful news anchors as host of “The Real Story with Gretchen Carlson” on the Fox News Channel and the best selling author of “Getting Real”. She was formerly co-host of the #1 rated cable morning news show “Fox and Friends” for 7 years. She’s also a regular contributor to “The O’Reilly Factor” with Bill O’Reilly.
Carlson’s television career spans two decades. She was formerly co-anchor of “The Saturday Early Show” on CBS and a CBS News correspondent traveling the world, covering the G-8 summit in Genoa, Italy, the Timothy McVeigh execution, 9-11 from the World Trade Center, the Bush-Gore election, and many other national and international stories. She also worked as an anchor/reporter in Dallas, Texas where she reported and produced a 30-part series on domestic violence that won several national awards. Carlson also worked in the Cleveland, Cincinnati and Richmond, Virginia television markets. Her most important job though is being a wife, and a mother to her two children; 10 and 12.
This will be the fourth consecutive year that Lone Star Arena will house the Choices Fundraising Banquet. In previous years, they have welcomed Jep & Jessica Robertson from the cable series Duck Dynasty, Govenor Mike Huckabee, and actor, Kevin Sorbo.
Previous table sponsors will have the first chance to reserve a table, and the event will sell out at 75 tables. Tables may be reserved for $1,000, which includes seats, dinner for 10 people and the organization’s name in the program. Individual seats, including dinner, may be purchased for $100 a seat. Prices will increase after September 1, 2016.
Choices Clinic & Life Resource Center is a Christian ministry opened in 1994 dedicated to preserving the value of human life by providing abortion alternatives, practical assistance, and education to the Cross Timbers area. They offer free pregnancy testing, peer counseling, parenting education, abstinence education, practical support, and more services. Center locations include Stephenville and Hamilton.
