(December 19, 1940 – January 14, 2018) 

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 20, 2018, at New Dublin Liveoak Cemetery in Dublin, Texas.

VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Friday, January 19, 2018, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Ligon White, age 77, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018, in Stephenville, Texas. He was born on December 19, 1940, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Raleigh and Carolin (Ligon) White. On January 26, 1963, he was united in marriage to Margaret Westbrook in San Angelo Texas. He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Ligon graduated WB Ray High School in 1958 and went on to attend Texas A & M University, receiving two degrees from there and was a member of the prestigious A & M Army Corp of Cadets during his College career. For forty years, Ligon was employed in retail management with Sears Elite Management Team, Kraft foods in Austin Texas, eventually settling in Comanche where he worked for Higginbothams. He was a member of the Episcopal Church. He was also a Mason and member of Hope Lodge #481. He also was a prolific, very accomplished big game and fish outdoor enthusiast. He lived a great, truly interesting, fun life and instilled love and family loyalty in his family. He is survived by his wife, Margaret White of Dublin; daughter, Carolina McNutt and husband Tim of Dublin; three grandchildren: Stephen McNutt and wife Ashley, Jordan McNutt and wife Nicole, and Carleigh McNutt, all of Dublin; and two great-grandchildren, Chase McNut and Maddison McNutt.
