STEPHENVILLE (August 6, 2018) – Timber Ridge Church is opening a new preschool called Grace Ridge Early Learning Center on Monday, Aug. 13. The preschool will be open from 7 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
Grace Ridge Early Learning Center currently has 64 students enrolled and is open to all members of the community and surrounding communities.
Tuition is split between part-time and full-time. The rates also vary depending on the age of the child.
Olivia Gibson, the director of Grace Ridge Early Learning Center, said that Timber Ridge Church has had the dream to open an early learning center for a while.
“A primary part of the vision of Timber Ridge is to love our community and serve them well. We see Grace Ridge Early Learning Center as an opportunity to do that,” Gibson said. “Timber Ridge Church decided to pursue opening Grace Ridge Early Learning Center to further provide quality, affordable and God-centered education for our community.”
Grace Ridge Early Learning Center has planned daily schedules for each of their classrooms (infant through school age) that will foster child-directed learning, scaffolded by the knowledge of the teachers. They will also use Emergent curriculum as well.
“We will use Emergent curriculum, which is a fluid way of learning that pairs the interests of children with objectives and milestones particular to each age group. We will have biblical learning interlaced with this curriculum that will expand upon learning and lessons used on Sundays at Timber Ridge Church,” Gibson said.
Gibson believes that Grace Ridge Early Learning Center will benefit children and parents by “providing care that will allow families to have comfort in the love poured into to each child, daily, as well as the education they will be submerged in.”
Families can visit www.timberridgechurch.com/graceridge to fill out an interest form. Once the form is submitted, families will be contacted with available openings for the specific age groups requested.
