STEPHENVILLE – Misty Wilson has added another guard to the mix – a junior college transfer who boasted 16 double-doubles for Colby Community College last season, Kaitlyn Guillory.

“I am very excited about the addition of Kaitlyn Guillory to the Tarleton Women’s Basketball program,” said Wilson. “Kaitlyn gives us size on the perimeter and she is extremely effective on both sides of the ball. She gained valuable experience playing in a tough junior college conference and that should serve her very well in this tough Lone Star Conference.”

Guillory was a standout guard for the last two seasons at Colby CC in Colby, Kansas. She started 54 games for the Trojans over the last two seasons and averaged 10.9 points per game for her career.

After a freshman campaign in which she averaged 9.8 points and 7.5 rebounds, Guillory followed up with an impressive sophomore season that saw her record 16 double-doubles including a 24-point, 17-rebound performance in her final game against Cowley County Community College. She averaged 12.1 points and 8.7 rebounds per game last year.

“What really stood out to me about Kaitlyn was her ability to do it all and be extremely efficient,” said Wilson. “She is one of the best rebounding guards I have seen recently and she is willing to do whatever it takes to help her team win. I believe she will be a great addition to our program and I am excited to coach her for the next two years.”

Prior to her time at Colby CC, Guillory starred on the court for Keller High School. She was a District 3-6A All-District Second Team selection as a senior. In her final season for Keller, Guillory led the Indians to their first-ever 6A regional quarterfinal and boasted a 16-point, 10-rebound performance in the win over Nolan Catholic.

Guillory joins the recruiting class that includes Jayci Morton (Stephenville HS), Callie Boyles (Denton Guyer HS), Madison Cawley (Lake Country Christian HS) and Jasmine Bailey (Midlothian Heritage HS).
