Undefeated Bees hold off Peaster’s late rally

Sport: (December 5, 2014) — Stephenville is still unbeaten and headed for the tournament championship in Glen Rose.

The Honeybees (8-0) built a 10-point lead then held off a furious rally by Peaster Friday afternoon.

“We just played great team basketball, and we had to, because they were a lot taller than us all the way across the court,” said Thorpe. “We aren’t big, but these girls play really well together.”

Thorpe said Cassidy Cline scored 11 and Bethanie Bouchie nine, but did not have other stats immediately available.

The Bees face Godley or Glen Rose in the final at 8 p.m. Saturday. Like Stephenville, Godley is undefeated.
