BREAKING (5:30 p.m. Monday, December 29):
An emergency helicopter has been called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of US Highway 281 and State Highway 6 just north of Hico.
The accident, occurring just before 5 p.m. Monday, has caused traffic to remain temporarily shut down as of 5:25 p.m. Units from Erath County Volunteer Fire, Erath EMS, Hico Volunteer Fire, Selden Volunteer Fire, Cross Timbers First Responders, Texas Department of Public Safety and Erath County Sheriff’s Office are among those responding.
