DUBLIN (January 21, 2015) — It’s official! Dublin’s favorite singer, Luke Wade, will be returning to his hometown for the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day festival. In fact, Wade will be kicking off the event, playing with his band, No Civilians, in the Dublin City Park for the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration Kickoff concert.

While not many details are not yet available for the event, The Flash was able to get some information from Dublin Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Luanne Schexinder and other city officials. According to Schexinder, whether people are into camp and gun shows, the rodeo or the annual Miss Dublin Pageant, this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, with the theme of ‘Dublin Dynasty,’ will have something for everyone.

“This year we’re putting a little Mardi Gras into our annual Irish Celebration,” said Schexinder on Wednesday. “We’re hoping everyone finds a way to embrace the fun of this annual event that continues to grow each year.”

She said the kickoff concert featuring Wade and No Civilians is set for Friday, March 13, in the Dublin City Park and the parade starts the fun at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, followed a full day of family fun in the city park and downtown. Other city officials confirmed that Dublin City Council member Layne Golden and his band will open up the concert for Wade.

While more information will be made available in the coming weeks, Schexinder let The Flash release a preliminary schedule city officials are working on.
