Lane Jones was born on December 20, 1940 in Stanton, Texas. He went to be with his LORD on February 23, 2015 at the age of 74 years, 2 months and 3 days. He was the son of L C Jones and Mittie Irene (Cline) Jones. He was united in marriage to Jan Lee on July 1, 1960 in Dublin, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jan Jones of Dublin; his daughters & sons-in-law, Teresa & David Wall of Dublin and Becky & Blake Reeder of Dublin; his sons & daughters-in-law, Nickey & Heather Jones of Dublin and Lance & Samantha Jones of DeLeon, and Billy Hancock of Dublin; his brothers & sisters-in-law, Larry & Dorothy Jones of Fair Oak, Texas, L H and Connie Jones of Dublin, Texas; his sister & brother-in-law, Lavona & Malcolm Wilborn of Stephenville, Texas and his brother-in-law, Charles Lee of Midland, Texas; his grandchildren-Michael Wall, Daniel Prukop, Chandra Stout, Danielle LeJeune, Marcus Wall, Brandon Wall, Kia Figueroa, Derek Reeder, Mariah Reeder, Kline Jones, Dillon Flowers, London Jones and Max Jones; his great-grandchildren-Addison, Kaitlynn, Kylie, Kaden and Korbyn, and a host of other relatives and many friends who will miss him dearly.
He was a 1959 graduate of Dublin High School, dairyman, a member of the First Baptist Church in Dublin where he was a deacon, he had served on the DISD School Board, the Young Corporate of AMPI, a Board of Director of AMPI and the Young Farmers. He was known for making the worlds greatest brisket which he gave to charities, funeral meals and anywhere he saw a need.
