ERATH COUNTY (March 2, 2015) — After being delayed a week due to winter weather, the Erath County Commissioners held a meeting Monday at the courthouse.
Commissioners heard from Kerri Stannel who told them about child abuse prevention. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and Stannel had several ideas for county projects.
The court also handled several housekeeping items, including items on the consent agenda (minutes from the previous meeting, bills, monthly reports and the contract with the city of Dublin for fire and ambulance aid), budget line-item transfers, budget amendments, cell phone requests and other requests including one from the Leon Bosque RC&D Council.
Erath County Commissioners also reappointed David Leatherwood to the Cen-Tex Rural Rail Transportation District. Leatherwood is the vice-president of consumer lending at the First National Bank of Dublin and serves as Mayor of Dublin.
