DUBLIN (March 15, 2015) — What started as a fun night of card playing ended in gunfire early Sunday morning. According to Dublin officials, emergency personnel was dispatched to a home on Elm Street just before 3 a.m. to reports of a disturbance or a shooting in the home.
Dublin Police officials said a man in the home, known to be from Dublin, was shot and taken from the scene via ambulance to the Dublin Airport, where CareFlight took him to a Fort Worth hospital. As of 10:30 Sunday morning, the patient was listed in critical but stable condition.
Officials also reported they have found the weapon and several other pieces of evidence on scene. A vehicle was also towed from the scene as evidence. While officers on scene would not release the name of the victim, they did report the names of three people who were arrested and taken to the Erath County Jail during the course of the investigation.
A witness to the scene reported several children were removed from the home by officers following the incident. However, none of the Dublin Police officials would comment on the children, conditions inside the home or why they were removed.
The shooter was identified as Adrian Victor Ybarra, 22, of DeLeon. He was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a host of other non-related charges. Ybarra’s bond has been set at $120,000 for the charges, including $100,000 for the assault charge.

Dublin officials said that while officers and emergency personnel were on scene, several members of the victim’s family rushed up to the home, concerned for his safety and curious about the incident. Dublin Police officials said two of those family members would not calm down and both were arrested for assaulting a public servant and other charges. Those two were identified as Dominic Gonzales and Crissy Salinas.
