STEPHENVILLE (March 24, 2015) – Community members gathered Tuesday to to fill their plates and local students’ backpacks at the First United Methodist Church’s annual potato luncheon.
People from the community were able to enjoy a baked potato, salad, bread, baked beans, tea and their choice of dessert for only $8 per person. Baked potatoes were supplied by Hard 8 BBQ.

“We use the money to buy school supplies for Stephenville ISD students,” said LaVena Prichard.
She also stated the supplies will help children in the area who have a need. The school supplies are bought during the summer and, “about the middle of August, we distribute them,” Prichard said.
