STEPHENVILLE (April 7, 2015) — The Wendell Sadler Distinguished Scholar Series brings noted mental conditioning and peak performance coach Brian Cain to Tarleton State University for its kinesiology health fair at Wisdom Gym from 5:30-9 p.m. Tuesday.

The event offers students the opportunity to network with professionals in the health, fitness and sport industry, and serves as a expo for exhibitors to showcase their organizations, services and products, according to a flyer prodded by the university’s kinesiology department.

Cain’s presentation is the centerpiece of the event. The author of five best-selling sports psychology books and producing award-winning audio and video training programs, Cain is known as one of the world’s most significant mental strength coaches. He has had success working with athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL and has also worked with five ultimate fighting world champions.

Cain has addressed audiences as small as five and as large as 5,000, and promises to exude the high-energy, engaging teaching philosophy that has made him a hit with crowds of all sizes.

The kinesiology department has consistently produced the largest undergraduate major at Tarleton since 2009, and during that stretch has seen a 16 percent increase in undergraduate students and a 63 percent increase in graduate students.
