Lavada Mayo Allison, 88, of Stephenville, died Thursday, May 7, 2015 in Stephenville.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 14th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Hannah officiating. Burial of her cremains (weather permitting) will follow at Pilot Knob Cemetery.

Lavada was born on May 20, 1926 in Stephenville, to the late Robert Nathan and Dartha Ann Norris Mayo. She married V. C. ‘Brett’ Allison on December 17, 1955 in Fort Worth. Brett preceded her in death on August 15, 2002. Lavada was a member of First United Methodist Church, and operated Noah’s Ark Day Care from 1986 until 1994. Lavada was also a secretary for a recording studio in Abilene for eighteen years.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Brett Rusche of Denton, Rebecca Rusche of Stephenville, Cale Wier of Fort Worth, Mesha Aldridge of Stephenville, Beau Bollier of Fort Worth, Damian Bollier of Florida, and Jon Allison of Stephenville; brother, Douglas Mayo of Fort Worth; seven great grandsons, Nathan, Eli, Mason, Ryder, Joshua, Levi, and Benjamin; four great granddaughters, Kasia, Kerington, Sara, and Dana; and two great great grandsons, Landon and Austin

Lavada was also preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Lowry and Dana Covington; great grandson, Noah Rusche; two sisters, Jeri Stone and Dee Gardner; and two brothers, Bill Mayo and Clarence Mayo.
