(May 10, 2015) — Stephenville cowboys Aaron Macy and Chad Williams hit a trifecta this weekend, cashing in the team roping of three separate rodeos.
Macy and Williams won the team roping at the Butterfield Stage Days PRCA Rodeo in Bridgeport, catching head and heels in in 4.9 seconds for $1,838 each. The tandem was also 8th at the Mineral Wells Rodeo close to home and traveled to Crockett to take fifth in the Lions Club PRCA Rodeo. In all, they won $2,415 at the three events.

Saddle bronc stars and brothers Jacobs and Sterling Crawley won first and second in Mineral Wells. Jacobs continued his recent tear, scoring 85 points on Rafter G Rodeo’s Exposure for $1,113, while Sterling scored 81 points for $835. Jacobs also tied local cowboy Isaac Diaz for fourth at Jasper. They were part of a three-way tie at 79 points and won $286 each. Diaz tied for third with another 79 point ride in Bridgeport .
Former Tarleton State cowboy Richmond Champion won the bareback riding in Bridgeport, picking up $850 for scoring 82 points on Pete Carr’s Classic Pro Rodeo’s Sorrel Top.

In tie-down roping, Trent Walls needed 9.3 seconds to secure second place and $981 in Mineral Wells, while Marty Yates earned $737 with a third-place tie in 8.9 seconds in Bridgeport.
Kelly Allen continued her torrid pace in barrel racing, winning Mineral Wells in 15.88 seconds for $1,499. Samantha Lyne finished the course in 16.03 seconds for sixth place and $571.
In Bridgeport, Clay Smith and Huckabay’s Paul Eaves tied for fourth and earned $999 each with a time of 5.3 seconds in the team roping. World champs Clay Tryan and Jade Corkill finished in 5.5, placing seventh and taking home $400 each.
