Donald Thomas ‘Tom’ Rhoades, 85 of Bluff Dale, died Friday, July 10, 2015 in Bluff Dale.

Graveside services will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday, July 15th at Glenn Cemetery in Bluff Dale. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Tom was born on January 12, 1930 in Hood County to the late Joe Grady and Ila Foyle Agee Rhoades. He married Leota Gay Bramlett on April 4, 1953 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He attended Tarleton State College, and received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University. Tom served in the U. S. Army during Korea, and was a member of the American Legion. He grew up in Bluff Dale, lived in San Antonio from 1962 until he moved back to Bluff Dale in 2006. Tom was in Civil Service as a Mechanical Engineer for the U. S. Air Force. Tom enjoyed the outdoors as a fisherman and hunter, and he and Gay loved to bowl.

Tom is survived by his wife, Gay; sons, Don Thomas Rhoades of San Antonio, Bobby Dave Rhoades of Fort Worth, and Joe Neil Rhoades of Dallas; daughters, Anita Gay and husband Dave Hale of Bluff Dale, Lisa Ann and husband Melvin Kosler of Norman, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Matthew Kosler, and Andrew and wife Bryanna Kosler; great grandchildren, Rosendo and Alyssa Trinidad and Taylor Kosler; sister, Joelle Macek of Irving, and one niece

Besides his parents, Tom was also preceded in death by two brothers, Nathaniel ‘Bud’ Rhoades and John David Rhoades.
