Do you remember how special it was to get new school supplies each year?

There’s a new organization in town that is making that happy memory possible for about 900 children in Stephenville this August, but they need your help.

The organizers of the Community-wide School Supplies Project are looking for partners in this effort to help children obtain these needed supplies. Working with the Stephenville ISD, there are several churches, foundations, service clubs, and mission organizations including Faith Lutheran/Faith School, First United Methodist, First Presbyterian, Oakdale United Methodist, Basic Needs, Grace Place, Salvation Army, and H.O.P.E Inc., Evening Lions, Texas Bank, Terrell Foundation, and others who have committed to the project.

But, more participants are desperately needed. Churches, civic organizations, and individuals are encouraged to partner with the Community-wide School Supplies Project in one of three ways:

(1) You or your group donates money to be used to purchase the supplies.

(2) You or your group collect and donate certain school supplies items you have been assigned by the organizers.

(3) Volunteer to prepare for the distribution of the supplies and help on the distribution day August 8th.

Please contact Cynthia Rives at 254-592-1510 or cynrives@yahoo.com if you or your organization would like to help provide these needed supplies or would like to volunteer to help distribute them for school children in Stephenville.
