ERATH COUNTY (August 4, 2015) — Lyndon Blaine Robertson, 51, is back in jail for the second time in a month for the same thing. Robertson likes to drink and drive and run from the police. Twice he’s failed.
On July 15, Robertson was arrested by Erath County Sheriff’s deputies for evading arrest or detention with a vehicle and driving while intoxicated. He was released shortly thereafter on $30,000 bond. Last night, he literally struck again.
Robertson, who was allegedly intoxicated again, hit a parked vehicle on County Road 351 in Erath County and left the scene. Officers enroute to the scene found a vehicle matching the description of the hit and run vehicle. However, it had run off the roadway and through a fence onto private property and officers reported the driver was nowhere to be found.

Not long after, another officer who was headed to the crash site to help search for the driver, found Robertson walking along the roadway. He was arrested by the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol officers and booked into the Erath County Jail on charges of resisting arrest, search or transportation, driving while intoxicated, failure of duty on striking a fixture/hwy. landscape under $200 and failure of duty on striking an unattended vehicle.
Robertson remains in the Erath County Jail as of noon Tuesday, August 4.
