BURAL: Pendergrass Cemetery in Comanche County.

Gaylon D. Cagle, also referred to by his family as Grandad, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2015, at the age of 90 years.

He was born on December 28, 1924, Texas, to Lohman and Montie (Vines) Cagle. On May 29, 1943, he was united in marriage to Joy (Graham) Cagle in Sidney, Texas. They were married sixty-nine loving years. Gaylon was a long time resident of Sidney, where he was a dairyman for thirty-five years, farmed, and raised cattle. He was very active in the community and school affairs. He proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps in World War II. Gaylon was a member of Sidney Baptist Church. He loved helping people and gave generously to anyone he could help.

He is survived by one daughter, Gay Dunham and husband Kevin of Sidney; four grandchildren, Eric Cagle and wife Shannon of Stephenville, Nikole Grimmer and husband Aaron of Stephenville, Jason Huddleston of Weatherford and Scott Huddleston and wife Sigrid of Sidney; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Glee Dobbs of Berryville, Arkansas and Nelda Joy Green of Keller, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Cagle, in January, 2012; one son, Gene Cagle in March 1996; and his parents, Lohman and Montie Cagle.
