R.D. ‘Roscoe’ Dave Ford

R.D.’Roscoe’ Dave Ford, 72, of Cresson, formerly of Erath County, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Chip Foster officiating. Interment will follow at the Morgan Mill Cemetery in Morgan Mill. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

R.D. was born on October 16, 1942 in Stephenville to the late Robert Ford and Vivian Graham Ford. He married the love of his life, Barbara Ellen Luttrell, on July 31, 1987 at Westworth Church of Christ in Fort Worth. R.D. was a man full of love, who loved his family and his wife dearly. His knowledge of cars was well known and he would drop whatever he was doing to help others in their time of need. R.D. was a great man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Barbara Ellen Ford; very close cousins, the Sparks family, the Little family; his extended family, The Johnson family; his in-laws, Gordon and Kay Luttrell, William Kellar, Brenda and Paul Tollett, Kerry and Shirley Luttrell, Randy Luttrell; his god children, Jade Sturek, and Matthew Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Vivian Ford; a brother, Robert Herman Ford; mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Bufford Luttrell; sister-in-law, Lynn Luttrell Kellar; and brother-in-law, David Luttrell.
