STEPHENVILLE (September 28, 2015) — Stephenville ISD is once more being honored for its financial transparency.
The Texas Comptroller’s Office has presented SISD its Platinum Leadership Circle Award “for continued progress toward achieving financial transparency,” according to a press release from SISD Superintendent Matt Underwood Monday afternoon.
“The Leadership Circle recognizes local governments that are striving to meet a high standard of financial transparency online. This award acknowledges the efforts of the local government to provide its citizens a clear and consistent picture of spending and to share that information in a user-friendly format,” the release states.
It’s the second straight year Stephenville has received Platinum designation, coming just one point shy of a perfect score in the comptroller’s rating system. View the district’s financial transparency by CLICKING HERE.
Underwood mentioned the designation during a monthly meeting of school trustees last Monday, saying much credit for the honor should go to SISD Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director for Financial Operations Deborah Hummel.
