STEPHENVILLE (September 30, 2015) — First responders were dispatched to US Highway 377, north of Stephenville, for an accident that took out power in part of the county this morning.
Just after 7 a.m. Wednesday a black SUV left the roadway and struck a high-line pole, breaking it in half. While no major injuries were reported, the vehicle did break the pole in half and took down the surrounding power lines.
Oncor officials said crews were notified within minutes of the accident and were dispatched to the scene. However, as of 10:30 a.m., they could not give an exact time of completed repairs. Officials with the city of Stephenville reported that some power had already been restored, but not all.
