FORT WORTH The Ranger College Speech & Debate team completed one of the best weekends in the program’s history. The team started its competitive schedule last weekend at Rice University in Houston against some of the top 4-year universities in the nation and finished 11th in a field of 14 schools, but finished third among 2-year college teams.

After a dedicated and well prepared week, the RC Speech and Debate team returned to competition last weekend at Texas Christian University.  At TCU both tournament days were successful as the team took fifth overall on Saturday- and first among community colleges.  On Sunday, the team took fourth overall, and finished as the top community college team again. For both days of the meet, the RC Speech and Debate team placed fourth.

“I’m extremely proud of this team.” said Coach Kevin “Pkev” Daily, “This really is a special group. They’re all new to this, but they’ve got a knack for executing and competing. Hats off to Professor/Coach John Mikolajcik, the new addition to the team this year, for his efforts in solidifying a very competitive group for Ranger College.”
