(November 10, 2015) — Huckabay head coach Caleb Walls was not pleased with the way his team shot the ball in their season opener Monday night, but he’ll take a win any way he can get it.
Presli Bray and Taylor Lowe each score 10 points to spearhead a balanced Lady Indian attack that included eight points from Tiffany Lopez and seven from Kailin Dowell.
Huckabay was most aggressive in the second quarter, getting to the free throw stripe and going 7-12 en route to 19 points in the period. Outside of the third quarter, the Lady Indians were just 4-12 at the line, going 11-24 overall.
Other scorers for Huckabay were Tiffany Meador with five and Narda Fragoza two. The Lady Lions host Blanket at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday following a 10 a.m. junior varsity game.
