Services for Bennie Arnold, 88, self-employed appliance repair, who died Sunday, November 15, 2015, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Lacy Funeral Home with Rev. Ken May officiating. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel.
Bennie was born in Bowie, Texas, on October 27, 1927, to Ben Thomas Arnold and Beaulah Smoot. He married Bobbie Rowell on September 14, 1949, in Hale Center, Texas.
Bennie was a devout member of the First Baptist Church in Stephenville.
He bravely served in the Army as a Quarter Master Corp, PFC from February 21, 1946, to March 31, 1947, in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Arnold of Stephenville, Texas; sons, Phillip Arnold of Pineville, Missouri, and Stan Arnold and wife, Lou Ann, of Stephenville, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mae Watson of Stephenville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his son, Glen Arnold, on April 15, 2012, his parents, Ben Thomas Arnold and Beaulah Smoot Arnold, and 7 siblings.
