STEPHENVILLE (November 16, 2015) – Tarleton has captured its first Lone Star Conference Volleyball championship in school history, which means the LSC Championship Tournament will be held in Wisdom Gym beginning Thursday afternoon.
The TexAnns secured the top seed in the tournament with a 15-1 conference record and a 25-5 record overall, which is a new school record for total wins in a season. The rest of the tournament field includes Angelo State, Texas Woman’s, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Cameron, Texas A&M-Commerce, West Texas A&M, and Eastern New Mexico, respectively.
Tickets will be $5 for adults and $3 for students for each session. There are four total sessions to see every game of the tournament. There will not be free tickets given away to students, however, the Texan Club has purchased tickets for Tarleton students for the TexAnn games only. Students wishing to claim their free tickets for the event will need to pick them up from the ticket office in Wisdom Gym from 1:30-4 p.m. daily, but must do so before 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Tickets will also be available online beginning Monday at 12 p.m. CST / 11 a.m. MST.
All seven games will be streamed live free of charge through the LSC’s GameCentral portal (http://portal.stretchinternet.com/lonestar).
Action starts on Thursday at 12 p.m. with No. 3 Texas Woman’s against No. 6 Texas A&M-Commerce followed by No. 2 Angelo State versus No. 7 West Texas A&M at 2:30 p.m., No. 4 Texas A&M-Kingsville against No. 5 Cameron at 5 p.m. and No. 1 Tarleton State versus No. 8 Eastern New Mexico at 7:30 p.m.
