Anne Morris, 63, of Stephenville, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in Stephenville.

A celebration of her life with family and friends will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 21st at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel.

Anne grew up in Kingsland and Odessa, and later moved to Stephenville. She was in Brownies, Girl Scouts, Eshonas Tri-Hi-Y where she served as vice-president for two years and sang in the Acapella Choir at both Bonham Jr. High and Permian High School. She graduated from Permian High School in 1970 then attended Tarleton State University as a business major. She later attended Odessa College and UT Permian Basin to further her studies. While she lived in Odessa, she was a member of Temple Baptist Church where she was baptized. Anne retired from Texas Rehab Commission/DARS of Texas after twenty years of service.

Anne dearly loved her friends, both old and new, traveling, Ruidoso, music, movies, especially the ‘Wizard of Oz’, and the song ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’; bird watching, and clowns. She loved her dogs, Angel, Scarlett, and Chewey, most of all they brought her great joy and comfort.

Anne is survived by her sister, Gay Morris-Carter; her niece, Karen French; two great nephews; her cousins, Chuck Moorhead, and Nuri Sutter; and many many friends she made over her lifetime.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Sue and Olen Edgar Morris.
