Stephenville – Services for Burnice Louise Griffin, 89, homemaker, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Mills and Jay Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Springs Cemetery in Erath County near Stephenville. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2015, at Lacy Funeral Home.
Burnice was born in Bibb, Texas on December 3, 1925 to J.E. Kilgore and Roberta Matthews.
She was a devout member of the Washington Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter; Lavern Mills and husband, Jerry of Stephenville, 8 grandchildren; Harley Griffin, Scott Griffin, Pam Mills, Jesse Mills and wife, Judy, Connie Mills, Leah Griffin, Christian Griffin, Chase Griffin, sister; Faye Massingill of Hamilton, TX., brother; Bobby Kilgore of Tyler, TX., 10 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons; Glenn Griffin, and Ken Griffin; and several brothers and sisters.
