William E. “Bill” Oliver, age 74, passed away at home in Hico, Texas on November 26, 2015. He had suffered from a terminal illness foe several years and remained in deep morning after the death of his lovely wife, Marcia Ann Oliver. Bill was raised in Robstown, Texas, completed a decorated 20 year career in the USAF. He was both a pilot and air traffic controller in Vietnam. He was executive and chief pilot for a pelvolean canopy company in Kansas, before moving to Hico. Preceding Bill in death are his parents, Jack W. and Anna P. Oliver, wife Marcia Oliver, 21 year old son Jeffery Oliver, mother in-law Maxine Camp, and step son Paul Ashford. Bill is survived by daughter Janet L. Fisher, two granddaughters Alyssa and Brianna Fisher, tow step daughters Phyllis Gulley and Pamela Lockridge, three sisters in-law Brenda Rittenhouse, Ina, Sillaway, and Linda Norman. Bill is also survived by 14 step grandchildren, and 7 step great grandchildren. Visitation 9am until service time at 2pm, Monday, November 30, 2015, at Harvest Hills Funeral Home. Burial with military honors to follow at Black Family Cemetery.

 

Service information:

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on November 30 at Harvest Hills Funeral Home, located at 118 Second Street, Hico. Chapel service will be held at 2 p.m. on November 30 at Harvest Hills Chapel with burial to follow in the Black Family Cemetery in Hico.
