STEPHENVILLE (December 1, 2015) — Ikpeaku Iwobi poured in a career high 21 points and 11 different TexAnns (4-2) scored in a 95-66 win over Arlington Baptist College (4-2) at Wisdom Gym Tuesday.
Iwobi also collected 10 rebounds in the fourth double-double of her junior season. She was joined in double figures by senior guard Meagan Odell with 14, freshman guard Nia Jackson with a career high 11 and sophomore guard Tiara Tatum with a career best 10.
Tarleton shot 51.3 percent from the floor but allowed Arlington Baptist to hit 48.1 percent. Reigning NCCAA National Player of the Year Jade Johnson led all scorers with 24 for ABC. Zayda Gonzalez added 16 and Ainsley Richardson 11 before fouling out.

Tarleton out-rebounded ABC 50-22, leading to a 26-6 advantage in second chance scoring. The TexAnns had 53 bench points to 20 by the Lady Saints.
Tarleton is home again Saturday for a much tougher South Central Region test against St. Mary’s, a Heartland Conference member.
Tarleton senior guard Meagan O’Dell speaks about the win over Arlington Baptist and preparing for St. Mary’s here:
The scoring started fast and slowed as the game went progressed. Tarleton poured in a season high 34 points and was ahead 12 by the end of the first quarter, when the team already had four 3-pointers from the arc and 10 points from Iwobi inside. The junior forward had 16 points and eight boards by halftime, when it was 56-35.
Arlington Baptist has the option to wipe the game from its record and count it as an exhibition, which would return their season mark to 4-1. As a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association, they can designate any three games against elevated competition as exhibitions. ABC has already designated a 108-67 loss to Angelo State and a 105-78 loss to Texas Permian Basin as exhibitions.
