Stephenville – Services for Barbara Ellen (Johnson)Weatherby, 81, financial secretary for the First Baptist Church for over 20 years, will be held at 2:00p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Buddy Wells officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
Barbara was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on August 4, 1934 to Charles Courtney Johnson and Mable Louise Holland. She married Jerry Weatherby on August 16, 1959, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Barbara had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Stephenville for many years. She had also worked with them as a secretary for over 20 years. She was a member of WMU and BPW.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Weatherby of Stephenville, 2 children; Pam Stallworth and husband, John of Murfreesboro, TN., Jeni McEwen and husband, Tommy of Alvin, TX., 4 grandchildren; Shawn Stallworth of Fort Worth, Lindsey LeMond of Nashville, TN., Courtney McEwen of Alvin, TX., Mathaniel McEwen of College Station, TX., sister; Judy Ferrell and husband, Herman of Saganau, 4 great-grandchildren; Rylee, Aubree, Anna Kate, and Kenzi.
