Stephenville – Services for Jean S. Holden, 88, nurse, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Lacy Funeral Home.
Jean was born in Franklin County, Texas on April 1, 1927 to Spurgeon Campbell and Bonnie (Breeland) Campbell. She married Bill Holden on June 6, 1965, in Dallas, Texas.
She was a member of the Huckabay Baptist Church. Jean was an Eastern Star for Stephenville and DeLeon where she served as Worthy Matron and an organist. She loved to play the piano and could play by ear.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Holden of Stephenville, her 3 children; Cathy Deatherage of Dallas, Mickey L. Swatsell and wife, Peggy of Round Rock, David Holden of Gilmer, TX., 3 grandchildren; Jason Swatsell and wife, Angie of Stephenville, Mandy Kramer and husband, Jeff of Stephenville, Ryan Swatsell of Round Rock, 3 great-grandchildren; Jeffery Swatsell, Jacob Swatsell, Piper Kramer. She was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter, Jennifer Swatsell on November 30, 1994.
