GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 25, 2016, at Energy Cemetery in Comanche County.
VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Monday, January 25.
Funeral procession will leave for the cemetery at 1:30 P.M.
Roy C. Patterson, age 90, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016, in Corsicana, Texas.
He was born on March 2, 1925, in Desdemona, Texas, to Robert B. and Molly (Triplett) Patterson. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the United States Navy. On February 16, 1980, he was united in marriage to Mary Emmie Doggett in Comanche. She preceded him in death on January 4, 2013. Roy retired from Lone Star Gas Company after twenty-six years of service. He was a livestock rancher. He was member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Elks Club. Roy was a member of Pettit Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son, Wayne Patterson of Trinidad, Texas; two grandsons, Ben Patterson and wife Catherine of St. Louis, Missouri, and Patrick Patterson and wife Sandy of Kerens, Texas; and one great-grandson, Jake Patterson of Kerens. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Patterson; son, Melvin Patterson; five brothers and five sisters.
