(January 26, 2016) — The annual preseason baseball rankings from the Lone Star Conference were announced Tuesday morning and Texan Baseball was picked to finish fourth.

Tarleton received 52 total votes, finishing 21 votes ahead of Cameron and Eastern New Mexico in a fifth-place tie and 28 votes behind Angelo State for third. Last season’s co-champions of the league, West Texas A&M (94) and Texas A&M-Kingsville (90), finished at the top of the poll.
