Affordacare Press Release

Affordacare is partnering with Dr. Kelly Doggett, owner of Convenient Care Family Medicine in Stephenville, to bring a new urgent care clinic to town.

Affordacare is an urgent care clinic that features fast, affordable and quality walk-in care for minor njuries and trauma, adult and pediatric illness, sports/youth physicals, DOT/pre-employment physicals and personal injury care including back pain.

The program works with your primary care physician when they cannot see you or provide care if you do not have one. Treatment for non life-threatening conditions is offered seven days a week as a convenient alternative to the emergency room. Experienced staff can treat anything from colds and the flu to lacerations and sprains. Laboratory and digital X-ray services are on-site. Most insurances including Tricare are accepted.

Affordacare is a well-established and growing provider of walk-in medical services with two locations in Abilene, one in Big Spring and one coming to Stephenville in Spring 2016. Founders Dr. Robbie Cooksey, Dr. John Wray, Dr. David Longley and Dr. Scott Wofford saw the need for a cost-effective alternative model of health care delivery.

Their vision culminated in the birth of Affordacare and thousands of satisfied customers. Stephenville and Tarleton State University alumnus Dr. Kelly Doggett has joined Affordacare as an owner/partner. He will serve as the medical director of the Stephenville clinic which will anchor The Shops at Stephenville being constructed at the old Coca-Cola building.

The 3,440-square foot state of the art facility at the west end of the property makes Affordacare the largest single tenant in the shopping center. Affordacare will continue Dr. Doggett’s long-standing tradition of avidly supporting area schools and athletic teams.

“I’m excited to be part of Affordacare. I will continue to see patients at my family practice office and I am thrilled to offer them services after hours and on weekends,” Dr. Doggett said. “Local ownership ensures patients that a portion of their hard-earned health care dollar will be re-invested into this community.”
