STEPHENVILLE (March 16, 2016) — Stephenville finished second in the girls team standings and third and seventh with two boys teams at its home Stephenville Optimist Club Invitational at Legends Country Club Wednesday.
The Honeybees posted a team score of 401, led by Morgan Kinsey, who tied for third medalist with a round of 92.
The Yellow Jacket A-team placed third with a team score of 335, led by fifth medalist Kendall Roberts with a round of 81.
The Yellow Jacket B-squad scored 394 and was led by Jake Henrickson with a round of 89.
Other Honeybees contributing to the team card were Madi Grimes, 99, Taylor Harpole, 102, Kaylee Dahl, 108 and Maren Isham, 108. The lowest score is dropped from the team card.
Other Yellow Jacket A-teamers with counting scores were Clay Krause, 82, Luke Weber, 86, and Tyler Lane, 86. Colton Jeffress scored 92.
Other Yellow Jacket B-teamers scoring were Grant Isham, 99, Jaren Dahl, 99, and Rosser Orr, 107. Baylor Brooks shot 110.
Individual medalists on the girls side from Stephenville were Alyssa Northcutt, 126, Peyton Barberee, 127 and Tatum Dobson, 129. Boys individual medalists were Slade Beddingfield, 113, Blakke Fowler, 125, and Kaleb Moore, 146.
District competition begins next week for both the Jackets and Bees.
