MEMORIAL SERVICES: At a later date in the Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas.
Nancy Elizabeth Ray White, born December 26, 1937 in Gatesville, Texas, died on March 31, 2016 in Dallas, Texas at age 78. She was preceded in death by her parents Avriett Thomas Ray, Jr. and Marguerite McMurry Ray.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Arlton Herbert White, and her brother Alfred Thomas Ray (wife Nan Collins Ray) of Kaufman, Texas, niece Amy Ray Parker (husband Mike Parker) of Crandall and nephew Bryan Ray (wife Andra) of Graham, Texas. Also surviving are cousins David and Bill Knapton and Kathy Castles along with many other cousins and second cousins.
Nancy graduated from high school in Coolidge, Arizona in 1956, from Baylor University with a BS in 1960, and from Southwestern Medical School with an M.D. in 1963. She completed a pediatric internship and residency and cardiology fellowship at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. She initially worked in the Children’s Medical Center outpatient clinic, and later worked for the City of Dallas Health Dept. at M. L. King Center for 12 years. In 1983 she entered private pediatrics practice in Dallas and continued until her retirement in 2005.
