Stephenville – Services, for Ernest Boucher, 90, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Weldon Braham officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Lacy Funeral Home.
Ernest was born in Stephenville, Texas on April 27, 1925 to Odd V. Boucher and Emma (Slade) Boucher. He married Ruth Ann Brown on March 25, 1950, in Weatherford, Texas. She preceded him in death on November 30, 2015.
He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Boucher was a hard-worker, devout husband, and wonderful father to his children.
Ernest served in the United States Navy during the World War II as a Seaman 1st Class approximately from 1943-1946.
Survivors include his daughters, Leslie Jones and husband, Johny of Jal, New Mexico, Laurie Vowell and husband, Dwane of Simonton, Texas, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three children; Ernest (Ernie) Boucher, Emily Silva, and Van Boucher, and brother; J.C. Boucher.
